about
South London Jazz single, with a smooth flute guiding you through the track. This debut single from us was written to encapsulate the frustrations of relationships when they become toxic for all parties involved & the struggle to find genuine people, who aren't hiding behind a facade. We hope you take from it what you feel. I personally wrote this track about friendships in which you feel after spendng time with the person there is no gain emotionally, just a sickness to the stomach and a few hours wasted. It only felt right to use Turkish Delight as the metaphor.
Thanks for your time, Enjoy (;
lyrics
Turkish delight,
Boy you’re sick and sweetly on my tongue,
Though you treat me right,
I’m gonna lose my appetite,
When you throw me smiles,
The sugar high disrupts my vibe,
Everytime we touch, yeah
Callin’ on the phone everyday and night,
Needin’ some sugar cause I haven’t got my high,
Yeah I fall in love way in too easily,
Yes I fall in love on the daily,
Now our history ain’t black and white,
Let’s all now put down the knives,
Talk it out like the rebels and maybe reach a truce.
Now I’m fallin’ through at waterloo,
Kinda missin’ you can’t tell the crew,
I hitch a ride to soho side and dance it all away, cause,
Turkish delight,
Boy you’re sick and sweetly on my tongue,
Though you treat me right,
I’m gonna lose my appetite,
When you throw me smiles,
The sugar high disrupts my vibe,
Everytime we touch, yeah
Boy you've got me close to an overdose,
You aint like other candies, where I can control myself,
Yeah I fall in love way too easily,
Yes I fall in love on the daily
Oh,
Ohhhh yeah, Turkish delight
Tu tu turkish delight, delight
Turkish delight,
Boy you’re sick and sweetly on my tongue,
Though you treat me right,
I’m gonna lose my appetite,
When you throw me smiles,
The sugar high disrupts my vibe,
Everytime we touch, yeah
Da da da da da da da Turkish delight, delight
